General Education Requirements
All students must receive a minimum grade-point average of 2.75 in science courses (Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition, and Chemistry) and a grade-point average of 2.5 in general education requirements before enrolling in Associate Degree Nursing (NURS) core courses and to graduate.

Associate Degree Nursing (LPN - ADN Option) Core Courses
Following is a list of required courses to complete an A.A.S. degree in the ADN (LPN - ADN Option) program Individuals seeking part-time plan of study need to schedule an appointment with an advisor to determine requirements. Special Program Requirements
- Submit copy of a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR card upon application to program. See Getting Started Checklist for specific CPR requirements.
- Submit completed Health Statement to the Health Sciences Division (upon application to the program) at healthsciences@southeast.edu. See program website.
- Active unencumbered Nebraska LPN license or Active unencumbered Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state LPN/LVN license (at time of application submit DHHS proof of license).
- HESI Admission Assessment: Printed results; information regarding HESI A2 is found on program website.
- A criminal background check will be required of each student in this program. Based on the background check, a student may be prevented from taking certain courses, accessing certain laboratory experiences, or completing the program. A non-refundable fee of $45 will be accessed for this CBC. Misdemeanor or felony convictions may prevent a graduate from acquiring a state license.
- Students admitted to a Health Sciences program at SCC requiring a clinical rotation at a contracted healthcare facility will submit to initial drug and alcohol testing prior to the first clinical rotation. A non-refundable fee of $44 will be accessed for the drug screen.
- All students must receive a grade-point average of 2.5 in the general education courses and a grade point average of 2.75 in the science courses. Science courses include Anatomy, Physiology, and Chemistry and Nutrition for Healthcare Provider. General education courses include oral communication, written communication, social science (related courses required by program).
- All NURS and HLTH courses completed with a grade of 75% (C+) or higher to progress through the program.
- A laptop computer is required for students in this program (see computer system requirements).
