CHEM 1090 - General Chemistry I This is the first course of a comprehensive chemistry sequence. Topics include nomenclature, atomic structure, chemical reactions, essentials of bonding, periodic properties, Valence Shell Electron Pair Repulsion Theory (VSEPR) modern bonding theories, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, and the chemistry of solids, liquids, gases. Lab must be taken concurrently.
Location: B/L Credits: 4 Classroom Lecture Hours: 45 Lab Hours: 30 Prerequisite(s): MATH 1100 or Higher Math Course OR Appropriate Math Placement Score.
