Take one class from one of the GELO categories below for a minimum of 3 credits.

Automotive Courses

Course offerings and prerequisites will be determined by the program. A grade of “C” or higher is required in any pre-requisite course to progress through the automotive technology diploma program.

• AUTT 1111 - Transportation Maintenance & Repair Fundamentals Credits: 6 (Recommended)
• AUTT 1007 - Auto Shop Safety & Repair Credits: 3
• AUTT 1110 - Basic Automotive Maintenance Credits: 3
• AUTT 1901 - Automotive Cooperative Experience Credits: 3
• AGST 1111 - Transportation Maintenance & Repair Fundamentals Credits: 6
• ASEP 1111 - Transportation Maintenance & Repair Fundamentals Credits: 6
• ASST 1111 - Transportation Maintenance & Repair Fundamentals Credits: 6
• DESL 1111 - Transportation Maintenance & Repair Fundamentals Credits: 6

• And take 6 hours from the following options:  

• AUTT 1116 - Electrical Fundamentals Credits: 5 (Recommended)

• AUTT 1216 - Automotive Electrical II & HVAC Credits: 6
• AUTT 2103 - Drivetrains Credits: 3.5
• AUTT 2112 - Automatic Transmission/Transaxle Credits: 5.5
• AUTT 2135 - Advanced Control Systems Credits: 4

Total: 31 hours

Students are required to provide or purchase a basic tool set during the first semester. A required tool list and more information can be acquired online at www.southeast.edu/automotive.

Students also are required to wear program shirts while in class or laboratory settings. Shirts are available for purchase through the SCC Campus Store.
