Criminal Justice Associate of Arts Degree Requirements


The Associate of Arts degree is for students who plan to complete their first two years of a bachelor’s degree before transferring to a four-year institution. ACFS 1015 Success@SCC


All Criminal Justice Associate of Arts students are required to take ACFS 1015  Success@SCC in their first semester of the program. Choose 7 additional courses to meet the 62 credit requirement.

NOTE: UNL’s Criminology & Criminal Justice program requires MATH 2170  or BSAD 2170  to fulfill the statistics requirement as an ACE 3.

* Denotes a course qualifying as an ACE 4 requirement for UNL’s Criminology & Criminal Justice program.

If you take CHEM 1050 and CHEM 1090; CHEM 1050 will fulfill the science requirement, Chem 1090 will be considered an elective. 

Cannot receive credit for more than one of these: PHYS 1150 , PHYS 1410  and PHYS 2110 .

Check with a SCC advisor, as well as an advisor at your receiving institution, for recommendations.

Some four-year schools require science courses to be taken from two different disciplines.
