Program Overview

The Electronic Systems Technology degrees can open a variety of exciting, stable, and lifelong careers with great salaries and benefits. Start an exciting career that offers worldwide opportunities with new and emerging technologies! Persons wanting to enroll in the program need to be aware that the beginning core courses are the same for all degrees. It is easy to switch degree pathways by working with your advisor and the admissions office. 

AVD and Low Voltage Systems

This program provides extensive opportunities for careers working with low voltage systems, including Audio/Visual Distribution, security and access controls, fire alarms, and nurse calls. You will learn current Audio/Visual practices as defined by AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist(CTS) standards and current installation standards as defined by the BICSI organization.

Approximately half of the training will take place in a laboratory setting; where you will apply the classroom theory through hands-on activities. Your training will include learning how to troubleshoot, install/set up, program, and design electronic circuits with a focus on low voltage communication systems. 

The AVD and Low Voltage Systems certificate is a stackable credential for the AVD and Low Voltage Systems Associate of Applied Science degree. 

Electronic Systems Technician

This program provides extensive opportunities for diverse careers in electronic repair and manufacturing, computer networking, avionics, bio-medical, and data communications.

Approximately half of the training will take place in a laboratory setting; where you will apply the classroom theory through hands-on activities. Your training will include learning how to troubleshoot, install/set up, program and design electronic circuits.
