ECED 1630 - Preschool Practicum This course is designed to provide an understanding of the developmental stages of children from three to five years of age by participating in hands-on learning experiences in selected child care settings. Students will develop an awareness of appropriate adult/child interactions while developing positive employee skills. Basic skills in planning and implementing a daily routine and curriculum activities for children 3-5 years of age are also presented. Students are required to complete a minimum of 45 clock hours of practical work experience in a two day per week format. Attendance at orientation sessions is required. A nominal fee will be assessed for liability insurance coverage on each student.
Location: L Credits: 1 Lab Hours: 45 Corequisite: Co-enrolled in ECED 1220 if this is the first practicum. Prerequisite or Corequisite: ECED 1120 , ECED 1060 .
