BIOS 1400 - Biology I This course investigates life and living systems at the cellular level. Discussion topics include all aspects of cell structure and function, including cell metabolism, the cell cycle, cell membrane transport, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, protein synthesis, gametogenesis, genetic expression and patterns of inheritance. This course in series with BIOS 1410 is designed to provide students with a foundation for upper level courses in the biological and life sciences. A laboratory course (BIOS1400L) must be taken concurrently.
