Biotechnology Home Page

The Biotechnology Diploma builds on the Certificate by providing advanced training in molecular biology techniques that support key local biotechnologies, including animal vaccine production at companies such as Zoetis and Huvepharma. Students also have the option to complete a practicum with a local company, gaining hands-on industry experience. The Diploma is ideal for those who want deeper technical training and direct workforce preparation.

Graduates are qualified for entry-level biotechnology positions. All courses transfer to local four-year institutions as degree requirements or science electives for several STEM majors. The curriculum overlaps with upper-level courses such as Genetics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry, and graduates report feeling well prepared after transferring.
