General Education Requirements
Contact your program advisor to select general education courses from each category which will meet your program’s graduation requirements. See General Education Courses (GELOs) for a complete list. One class from each area below: GELO #1: Speech Communication Credits: 3 GELO #2: Written Communication Credits: 3 GELO #5: Analytical, Quantitive, and Scientific Reasoning Credits: 3 Select classes for a minimum of 6 credit hours from the GELOs listed below. No classes from the same GELO. GELO #3: Critical Thinking and Problem Solving GELO #4: Global Awareness and Citizenship GELO #6: Career and Life Skills. Automotive Service Educational Program Courses
Course offerings and prerequisites will be determined by the program. A grade of “C” or higher is required in any pre-requisite course to progress through the ASEP program. A grade of “C” or higher is required in all ASEP core courses to receive a GM ASEP A.A.S. Total: 64.5 hours
Students are required to provide or purchase a basic tool set during the first semester. A required tool list and more information can be acquired online at https://www.southeast.edu/gmasep/. Students are required to wear program uniforms while in classroom or laboratory settings. This SCC program is accredited by the ASE Education Foundation. |
