Criminal Justice Associate of Arts Degree Requirements
The Associate of Arts degree is for students who plan to complete their first two years of a bachelor’s degree before transferring to a four-year institution. For more specific information based on the institution to which you want to transfer, please visit: https://www.southeast.edu/transfer-information/ Not all courses will be available every term or at all campuses. A course may only meet one graduation requirement. Students are encouraged to meet with their advisor and receiving institution to determine courses that will meet the requirement for the student’s field of study. ACFS 1015 Success@SCC
All Criminal Justice Associate of Arts students are required to take ACFS 1015 Success@SCC in their first semester of the program. Choose 7 additional courses to meet the 62 credit requirement.

NOTE: The following courses are standard requirements for Criminal Justice majors at many, but not all, four-year schools. Schedule an appointment with an advisor for more specific advice. Mathematics/Logic
The prerequisite for math courses must have been taken within the past 3 years. -If MATH 1400 and MATH 1600 are both taken, one will count as elective credit. -If MATH 1150 and MATH 1200 are both taken, students will not receive credit for also taking MATH 1300 NOTE: It is recommended that you consult your program advisor to determine which MATH course to enroll in. Science requirements vary depending on transfer institutions and majors. Some colleges/majors require that you take science courses in two different subjects. Some colleges/majors require that you take at least one lab science. Check with your Program Advisor and an Advisor for your major at your receiving institution for recommendations. Choose two of the following, including one lab course (4 or 5 credit hours). Humanities
Humanities requirements vary depending on your intended transfer institution and major. Check with a SCC advisor as well as an advisor at your receiving institution, to help you select your Humanities courses. Select one course from three of the four groups for a minimum of 9 hours.
