NURS 2105 - Medical Surgical Nursing Clinical Students learn and apply the principles and skills needed to care for individual patients with common disease conditions in an acute care setting. Understanding of concepts of adaptation to physiologic stress is examined. The nursing process is used to provide understanding of patients’ adaptive response to stressors, including hospitalization, disease processes and traumatic events. Related pathophysiology, diagnostic testing, therapeutic nutrition, pharmacology, and collaborative interventions are integrated.
