PHYS 1150 - Descriptive Physics Conceptual survey of physics for the non-science major. Topics covered include motion, fluids, heat, electricity, magnetism, waves, and optics. Emphasis will be placed on using concepts to analyze physical problems. The course includes both lecture and laboratory time.
Location: B/L/M Credits: 4 Classroom Lecture Hours: 45 Lab Hours: 30 Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C” or higher in MATH 0900 , MATH 0950 , MATH 1020 , MATH 1040 , MATH 1050 , or higher math class or a grade of “B” or higher in MATH 0903 or MATH 0953 or appropriate score on math placement test or permission.
